KSRTC to operate 1,800 special buses

Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Laxman S. Savadi on Wednesday said State-run corporations would operate special and additional buses to different destinations in the State and outside the State during the Ganesha festival on Monday.

On asked about hike of bus fares, he said it would be decided after discussions with Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa.

Meanwhile KSRTC, in a release, said it will operate over 1,800 additional buses on August 30 and 31 from Bengaluru to various places.

Special buses will be operated from Bengaluru Kempegowda bus station to Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi and other places.

Buses from Mysuru Road bus station will be operated towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Virajpet, and Kushalanagar. All premier special buses will be operated from Shanthinagar to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Vijayawada Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh/Telangana States.
